The welcome at the lodge was - as almost everywhere in Africa - warm and uncomplicated. The rooms are very spacious, if a little out of date. The door to the bathroom was a saloon door, in western style. The balcony was spacious, although the seat cushions needed cleaning. The menu was clear and the food was tasty. The lodge's park was perfect for a walk, but you had to watch out for a herd of stray baboons. The pool area was spacious and well-kept. All in all, it is a very nice lodge, with an old, converted farmhouse. Unfortunately, it is not very popular, as it is too far from Tsavo NP.
